mindfulness

Mindfulness is the willingness to intimately engage with your present moment experience with understanding, kindness, and curiosity.

The creator of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Professor of Medicine
Emeritus, Jon Kabat-Zinn, defines mindfulness as, "paying attention in a
particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non judgementally."

This practice of allowing develops our capacity to see things as they are, without judgement. When we exercise this innate capacity, we begin to shift from a place of tight reactivity to open responsiveness. When practiced regularly, we become more aware of our body sensations, thoughts, and emotions, and gradually begin to unbind our hearts and live more joyful lives.
